NCFSS has developed a Web site which serves as a one-stop gateway to a wealth of Internet-based school food safety information and resources. Information is provided for children, parents, educators, school nurses, administrators, local health departments, and school food service staff.

• Health School Lunch Campaign: Resources for Schools
From the Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine, information on innovative school lunch programs and nutrition lesson plans.

A collection of resources from the Food and Nutrition Information Center.

This fun site is provided by the Pacific Science Center and the Washington State Dairy Council.

• Cornell Ask the Nutrition Expert – Nutrition Experts
Operated by a group of registered dietitians. Topics include weight loss, cholesterol, sports nutrition, and diabetes.  Additional directories are under construction. There is also a fee-based telephone consulting service.

• School Meals Initiative for Healthy Children (US Dept. of Agriculture)

• Tufts University Nutrition Navigator
This online guide is designed to “help you sort through the large volume of nutrition information on the Internet and find accurate, useful nutrition information you can trust. ” Search the site or browse links for kids,
parents, and educators. Sites are reviewed by Tufts nutritionists and are updated quarterly.
