[LM_NET] TECH--Is free Spybot-Search & Destroy painfully slow?

When I downloaded and used the current free Spybot-Search & Destroy, the 
scan took over two days and two nights to complete.
I do not have only 107 GB of stuff on my hard drive, and when I used an 
older version of Spybot a couple of years ago, the scans took only a 
relatively short time (half an hour or less?).
How long should it take to run a Spybot scan??????
I also have Trend Micro active.....
Could that cause the Spybot scan to creep?
