Several well-versed-in-children's-literature colleagues quickly identified:
/Snowballs/ by Lois Ehlert
or possibly /Robert's Snowflakes /by Grace Lin.
Original question: Each page is a series of snow people created using
different mediums. She remembers a snow person made out of "things you
can find in nature -- pinecones, maybe" and a snow person made out of
doilies. She thought perhaps the pages folded out to make it oversized.
Her goal is to use this book with a class of visual arts high potential
students, providing browsing material after a project in which they
create their own snow person.
My colleague is impressed and happy with the service she received. I'm
glad to be part of a list-serv supporting our colleagues and promoting
our profession.
Sincerely,
Naomi Shadis
