[LM_NET] chemisty unit in 5th grade

I have a fifth grade teacher beginning a unit on chemisty.  She is looking for a 
couple of read loud books on chemistry, the periodic table and the relationship 
between molecules, atoms and compounds. At this point, I am clueless - has anyone 
out there addressed this theme before at the elementary level?
