I liked to show my students (Yr 4 -10 years old) how the value of money compares
between countries
by showing them the Big Mac Index which compares the cost of a Big Mac around the
world. However
the site I used to use is now only available via a subscription to the economist,
which is something
I have no use for. Therefore, is there an alternative site that compares something
this age group
can relate to in this way?
I know I can use the Universal Calculator http://www.xe.com/ucc/ to convert
currencies to $A but
the Big Mac gave it some perspective.
I shall post a hit, if there is something to post.
Thank you
Barbara
