Good Morning, All!
I have two requests. Before you recommend, I have checked the archives and came up
with little or nothing. Here goes:
1. I need books on lower levels. This sounds easy, but I'm finding it's not. My
building has incorportated 1st grade with the existing 2-4 and I have very, very
few K-1 level books. I don't even know where to look. Well, I do have a Crabtree
catalog that has a few sets that seem to go over well. I need books that can
survive tiny hands, but are still interesting. Any recommendations?
2. Along with those other first graders, I have one deaf student. She's learning
to read lips, but I'd still like to incorporate books that show sign-language along
with text. I've been told there are books like these, but have been unable to
locate them. Ideas?
Thanks for your help,
HG
