I have received the Teaching Tolerance magazine for years. It is free to
all teachers. It has wonderful material on how to teach children about
racial equality, religious tolerance and acceptance of various family
configurations. It is produced by the Southern Poverty Law Center which
has an outstanding history of helping to stop hate violence by the KKK
and other hate mongering groups. I am not familiar with its Intelligence
Report, but I cannot imagine that it does anything but track and expose
hate groups. Maybe the teachers mentioned only gave it a cursory look
and misinterpreted the content. I would urge them to take a harder look
and to go to the organization's website to see what is really being said:
