Friends at LM Net,
I rely on copy cataloging from the Library of Congress with Spectrum. For
some time, I have been having sporadic problems with this process. I will be
in the middle of copy cataloging and one of the following two messages will
pop up:
The instruction at ox0041df78 referenced memory at ox6e612066
The memory could not be written.
Or....
Spectrum Circ/Cat has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience.
I have forwarded a description of the problem to our school's technology
department. So far they have been unable to fix it. I don't think the
problem is with Spectrum.
Anyone have any idea what the problem is and the solution?
Please don't suggest that we get a new circulation/cataloging program. Our
school budget has been cut. We will have to use Spectrum for some time.
I am very satisfied with Spectrum other than this cataloging quirk.
