[LM_NET] Book title

I have a High School English teacher looking for the title of a book about a 
student that was given the assignment to journal.  The end of the term was coming 
up and the English teacher had all the students turn in their journals so she could 
grade them over the weekend.  One boy asked her if she was going to grade them over 
the weekend.  She said she was going to try.  The teacher did not get them read and 
on Monday when they returned the student asked if she had read them.  She told him 
no.  He committed suicide that night. When the mother came to pick his stuff up 
from school the teacher gave her the journals.  One of the journals talked about 
how no one had time for him even his teachers.
Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.
