Squizzy the Black Squirrel by Chuck Stone with friendship/tolerance
them, realistic oil pastel ills, heavy-handed on color blindness, weak
plot but useful, and if you google black squirrels it's an interesting
topic.  Also the African- American protagonist wears glasses, good for
self-esteem.
