[LM_NET] TAR: ELEM: Getting kids talking about books?

I am in that fabulous fixed schedule situation in a K-5 school.  Last year,
due to the time constraints I alternated class meetings- lesson one week,
checkout the next.  However as you can imagine, there was a lot of chit chat
during that checkout week.  I am looking for some good ways to get kids
motivated to talk about BOOKS!  I have thought about a blog that they can
add to during library time but computer access is a challenge. Also not sure
how well this would work for elementary students (probably 4th and 5th
grade)  I would love to hear your ideas.  TIA!
