I was surprised to find out it had changed? I will probably continue to celebrate
in November...an easier time for us.? The end of February & first of March is
celebrating Dr. Seuss and we sometimes have acitivites planned throughout February
for that.? April is testing...and spring break (we also have a week break in March
prior to a couple of weeks before we even do testing).? Then it's May, closing down
Reading Counts and awards, Field Day ran by the PE teacher, not to mention
Inventory and trying to get books back in from students.? There would not be any
way I could pull off a celebration in May...ha...
I'm sure there are as many with problems in November...but Fall of the year seemed
such a better time.? I had to cut out celebrating National Library Week in?April
due to Spring Break, testing and other events that are crammed in to those last few
months of school.
Best wishes,

Subject: Children's Book Week
Hello,?
I'm wondering how everyone else feels about Children's Book Week being moved from
November to May. It seems that with National Library Week in April, then the next
month CBW it's a little much. I enjoy having a special activity each semester and
now I'll have to come up with something else, or else just go ahead and celebrate
in Nov. Thoughts from anyone??
TIA?
