[LM_NET] Disclosure of student information on a school web sites

From time to time I receive requests for information about Internet
management related or youth risk issues. These requests for information
generally provide the incentive for a response that mysteriously looks like
it should go into a blog. ;-)

I was just asked about disclosure of student information on a web site. The
elementary teacher was concerned because the school tech coordinator was
posting student names and pictures - as well as staff names and reports on
class happenings whether or not the staff member wanted this material
disclosed.
