Hello friends-
My middle school staff has been studying the writings of Carol Dweck, especially
Mindset-The New Psychology of Success. If you haven't read it, I suggest it
strongly. It is eye opening for educators. Anyway, we would like to work with a
group of students to encourage more creative thinking towards achievement. We are
looking for some books to use as examples. The books should portray a character who
rises to achieve a level above he/she thought wasn't possible until they really
tried. I thought of Sahara Special for example. I would love to hear some of your
good ideas. Thanks- Ruth
