Our library is set up with two classroom areas and a smaller area for students on
passes. When classes come in for instruction, they have access to 8 computers if
there are two classes, or 16 computers if there is only one class visiting during
that block. We have a smaller area that is for individual students or small groups
on passes, and we have set aside 5 computers for them to use.
Recently, our school has received several laptop carts (11) for teachers to check
out and use in the classroom. We have had our classroom visits decrease slightly.
Is anyone else in a similar situation? If so, what are you doing to increase
classroom visits? We offer to go to the classrooms and/or computer labs, but we
aren't taken up on the offer as much as we would like.
We are considering reorganizing the computer allotment - making more available to
students on passes. We would check out a laptop cart if necessary to use if there
is more than one class in here at a time.
I will post a hit. Thanks...
