Thought I would share this site that my social studies teacher used with his kids.
It is no partisan. www.votehelp.org When you get to the site you will be asked a
series of questions about various issues which you can answer in a range from
strongly agree to strongly disagree. Then you will be asked to rate the issue on
its importantce to you - again there is a range. When you have answered all the
questions it will match your views to the candidates. You can then look at each
candidate- what you answered and where he/she is on the issue and it even gives you
quotes from the candidate on that particular issue. It is really a neat way to find
out lot about the candidates. You can also have the information presented at a
graph. Green boxes are complete matches on a issue and various shades of pink and
red indicate other levels of agreement. Again when you mouse over the issue, you
can see what the candidate had to say. Pretty nifty but I think I most matched
people who
are no longer running <grin>
