Kimberly,

My condolences on the loss of your colleague. There is an excellent
picture book on this subject called "I Remember Miss Perry", by Pat
Brisson. I can't recommend it highly enough. It portrays the effects of a
popular young teacher's unexpected death not only on her class, but also on
her fellow faculty members. The book shows how her students go on to honor
her memory through their actions for the remainder of the year.

Within the last week, one of our teachers passed away very unexpectedly.
As I gather lists of books that might help teachers/students cope with
their grief, I am not seeing any titles that deal with the death of a
teacher. There seems to be lots out there for parents, classmates,
friends, grandparents, but NO teachers.

Does anyone know of a title like this?
