I was teaching my 7th graders about copyright law and fair use Monday. Then
suddenly it dawned on me that my school is having a talent show tomorrow evening.
How should we have handled the public performance permissions? I'm sure we will be
in violation of someone's copyright.
On that note, another thought. Many schools play music over the speakers in the gym
before and between basketball games. Is there a clearinghouse for public
performance site licenses for music like there is for movies?
