Had to add...
We ordered a new text book that came with "teacher CD-ROMS" to help with
lesson plans. The school received about 20 boxes (16" x 16" cubes) full of
CDs in their slim little jewel boxes all nicely shrink wrapped. The AP
brought the boxes to the media center for barcoding and storage. (Ugh...but
that's another story). My clerk and I opened the first box, took out the
first jewel case, ripped through the shrink wrapping, opened the jewel box
and...NO CD. Just a cardboard circle with a URL and password for access. I
thought, "They must have left the CD-ROM out of this one," and opened the
next one. Same thing. In short - 20 boxes full of EMPTY shrinkwrapped jewel
boxes. Couldn't the company have simply sent an email to the Principal with
the school's passcode? What a horrible waste of resources, time, and energy!
