Good afternoon everyone!
I had a great response to my request for cute little songs for cute little
children to sing as we explore China and the Chinese New Year. Here are the
responses I got and they fit the bill perfectly!
Thank you to everyone who responded and I hope others find them as useful as
I did!

Dragon Dance Song (sung to: Mary Had A Little Lamb) We make masks to use
with this song.
See the dragons dance and prance, dance and prance, dance and prance. See
the dragons dance and prance on Chinese New Year's Day.
See the dragons hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop.
See the dragons hop, hop, hop on Chinese New Year's Day.
See the dragons shake their tails, shake their tails, shake their tails. See
the dragons shake their tails on Chinese New Year's Day.
See the dragons turn around, turn around, turn around. See the dragons turn
around on Chinese New Year's Day.
See the dragons go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep. See the dragons go to
sleep on Chinese New Year's Day.
CHINESE NEW YEAR DRAGON
There's a great big dragon coming our way ,
A great big dragon on this holiday, (march with others in a weaving line)
Let's grab our lanterns and follow along,
Dancing & waving and singing a song. (dancing and waving while moving in a
line)
There's a great big dragon coming our way ,
Hip, hip, hurray!
FIVE GREEN DRAGONS
Five green dragons Making such a roar
One danced away And then there were four
Four green dragons Dancing 'round a tree
One danced away And then there were three
Three green dragons Dancing 'round you
One danced away And then there were two
Two green dragons Dancing in the sun
One danced away And then there was one
One green dragon Having lots of fun She danced away
And then there were none
