I think it is unreasonable for anyone of any religion to expect someone
not of their religion to go out of their way to dispose of a book in any
particular manner. It would be a different situation if some one
purposely tried to do it in a disrespectful manner. I, however, am not
suggesting that we be disrespectful. I am only suggesting that it is
perfectly fine to treat all books the same. Someone already pointed out
that the suggestion of burning a book could get you killed. I would
simply discard a so called “holy book” just as I would any other
book.

Hello all,
If it was me, I would contact my local Muslim temple or group and ask
if there is a respectful way they would recommend for disposing of a
copy of the Koran. They may even provide you with a new copy as a
replacement.
