I had many suggestions that it may be "Is Your Mama a Llama?", but I
just asked the teacher, and it's not. The story is in the same vein as
this, and "Are you my Mother?". The text is very simple--maybe three
words a page--and each page progresses with giving hints about who the
mother may be. Finally, the last page reveals who the mother is. Does
this sound familiar?

Subject: Do you know this book?
A teacher is looking for a book. It has animals on the cover. Each
page shows a different animal mother and child pair and the text says
something like, "My mom and I..." and then tells something they do
together. Any ideas?
Thanks!
