I have read about this idea quite a few times on the list and now I really need to
know more about it.
We are giving serious consideration to doing this in our 9-12 setting to improve
reading and vocabulary skills. I am thinking that perhaps a historical fiction
book that can be paired with a non-fiction would be a good idea. Mississippi
Trial, 1955 with the nonfiction, Getting Away With Murder, as an example.
Something that can be discussed in a variety of ways---social justice, historical
perspective, etc., and be relevant to each grade level.
I am open to ideas and look forward to getting some great responses.
Thanks to anyone who can help.
