[LM_NET] Gingerbread Stories

Hi Everyone, 
 
I am looking for opinions or extra suggestions on a holiday idea for kindergarten. 
I am collaborating with kindergarten teachers on a gingerbread project and I am 
looking for ideas on how to go about it. They always read the story The Gingerbread 
Baby By Jan Brett. One possible idea we thought of was I could read them the newest 
version Gingerbread Friends and compare both stories.  We also thought of having 
each class make their own gingerbread story version. I can help them brainstorm 
in library and they can do the art work in class. Does anyone do somthing similar 
to this or can anyone expand or add to these ideas? Thank you very much for you
