I would love your input on fundraising ideas that have worked in your high
schools. We have been selling USB drives the past two years and would like to
find another money maker for our library. Do you have a suggestion that has
worked for you?
Along the fundraising line, last year we had a Scholastic Book Fair at our
high school shortly after Thanksgiving. We earned about $500, running the
fair for 4-5 days. This year Scholastic is not doing a high school book fair.
Our summer book fair was not nearly as successful because we've change our
summer reading. The students no longer have assigned reading, it isall their
own choosing. This said, do you run a book fair at your high school? If so
how? What is the trick to getting the students in? We have asked the English
teachers to bring in their classes, but met with some resistance this year
because the book fair is just before finals.
I would appreciate any insights that you can provide on either or both
topics. Thanks in advance for your help!
