Hi All,
Our 8th grade Language Arts teachers are looking for a good novel to teach as an
assured experience. They've done Call of the Wild to death and they're sick of it.
We have Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, Anne Frank's Diary of a Young Girl, A
Separate Peace, and several others, but the problem is that the high school in our
town keeps claiming our good titles for their curriculum. This year the high school
has decided to use Night and Lord of the Flies so we can't use those titles and
last year they laid claim to To Kill a Mockingbird.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Jan Birney
