Friends
Here is my original question --
I'm getting ready to update my periodical order. Would "Books Links" be
useful in my situation? I teach in a Middle School High School setting, and
grades 7-12 share the same library collection. (Even though the price is
right - 7 issues for $30.00 - I'm wondering if the material covered might be
a little young for my students.)
I only received a couple responses to my query about Book Links magazine. One
felt the magazine's material would be too "young" for my situation. Another stated
thatThere wasn't anything in Book Links that you couldn't do yourself - its best
feature was that of a time saver.
After reviewing the responses I received, I decided to go with the journals I
already receive: School Library Journal, Booklist and Library Media Connection.
Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts with me.
