I am working on a paper for a grad class and need a bit of info regarding media
centers. If you have the time between now and the end of Monday please share the
following information.

1. Do you collaborate with your teachers? To what extent? Do you collaborate
with the Principal? Is collaboration supported by the majority of your faculty?
2. What types of technology do you offer to your faculty and students? Do you
subscribe to databases? Circulate books on tape/CD? Check out projectors, cameras,
etc. ?
3. How often do you instruct the grades at your school? Are you held
accountable by a curriculum?
4. How do you decide which titles to add to your collections?
5. How do you manage your time between three buildings? Is scheduling
difficult? How do you schedule student visits? Do teachers sign up for a day a
week?
6. What do you like most about your media center facility?
7. What do you like least about your media Center facility?
8. Can you relate what your average budget looks like on a yearly basis? What
grants do you go after?
9. How do you promote library events? Is there a special area of literacy that
you advocate? How do promote use of your media center.
10. Have you ever thought of having the media center open for students after
school?
11. How often do classes use your computer lab? Are there computer use restrictions?
12. How many students and staff members do you house?
13. Please describe the layout of your library.
14. Please describe the colors of your library. Do you have carpet
