The previous librarian classified some of our books as
001.56. There are a number of titles with that
classification, including Tana Hoban's "I Read Signs".
When I checked the Access PA database, I noticed that
a few libraries have that particular book in that
Dewey area (001.55, 001.552) and others have it in
302.23, which is where I'm going to put it.

My question is this: What is the 001.56
classification? Did it used to be communication? Or is
it just a place where other librarians put books that
that want at the beginning of their shelving? I also
have a set of sign language story books there.

Thanks,
