Several asked if I would post a hit about the fundraiser info I received
from Scholastic and Microsoft. As far as I can tell this is a valid
program. Searchandgive.com is a search engine powered by Microsoft Live
and they do all of the record keeping. You get paid 1 penny a search
with a maximum of 10 a day per person. Thanks to Heidi Lewis who sent
the following information that I am passing on to you.

I went to the site and played with it. Earned 1 ticket for doing that.
Did not have to divulge too much info. I even lied on my birth date. I
kept it close enough so that I would recognize it if asked. Wow! Played
a game that involved their search engine and got 24 more tickets.
Now.....I am waiting for the packet. I figure as site coordinator for
my school if I don't like what I see when that comes, it will die
quickly for my school. I did not notice an overabundance of
advertising, but I am so used to tuning it out I may have just not
noticed anything. I tried to access it earlier today and it was
unavailable. Could be traffic is picking up.
At least now the email about Bill Gates sending you money may have some
truth to it. ;-)
