[LM_NET] TECH: Follett Destiny Server Response Time

Hi --

I am seeking information from those who have recently moved to Follett's
Destiny. We migrated to Destiny from another program at the beginning of
this school year. Almost immediately, librarians and library clerks across
the district started noticing that transactions seemed to take a long time
to go through. We've been in touch with Follet's tech support and they say
it's our problem. However, our server meets and exceeds their criteria and
our processing speed is really good. Our tech guys have added more memory to
the server, with no appreciable change in performance. Each time a barcode
is scanned, response time is 10-15 seconds. This happens on both check in
and check out. As you can imagine, if you have a class of students trying to
get checked out, this lag can add up quickly.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how was it resolved? Follett support
is willing to work with us, but everyone has run out of ideas!!
