[LM_NET] ELEM: Idea for one book/one school

Hello!
 
I have been put in charge of the one book/one school program at my son's 
elementary school. I need to find a picture book related to the schools theme 
which is "go for the gold." So far we can go with a book with the following 
themes: personal best, overcoming obstacles, and perseverance. Any ideas for 
picture 
books with any of these themes? I would be most appreciative to hear any and 
all ideas/suggestions.
