THANK-YOU for all your great suggestions!
I like the idea of an ULTRA AGGRESSIVE label (Demco's) and the glowing review. I
think I'll give them a try. :O)

- I can highly recommend DEMCO® Ultra-aggressive Glossy Label Protectors. The cost
is not very different at all, but the quality is beyond compare.

-I have used use DEMCO label protectors for many years and have been very satisfied
with them. I also like their binding tape. Their prices are competitive and
their processing/delivery rates are good. Their phone number is 1-800-279-1596 and

- I use Demco and have found that if I use protectors that are somewhat larger than
the label that they work better. They are more expensive, but worth it. I won't
say that we never have trouble with them, but they seem to work much of the time.

- I am happy with the labels that I buy from Sagebrush.

- I use a DEMCO brand and buy them in rolls of 500. No problem with them, but I've
also had good luck with those from The Library Store.

- I have been happy with protectors from The Library Store. I think the thinner the
better, as far as pulling up. The problem with the thin ones is in applying them.

- We have used ones from Brodart and Gaylord without problems for the most part -
the farther you put them away from the spine the better they seem to work.

- We have a tape system that we purchased from a library supplier. I have seen them
in various catalogs. The tape is held and dispensed to a place it can be cut with a
razor blade. We just cut off the amount we need and place it over the bar code or
call no. We use 3" Scotch book tape #845. It is the same tape we use on the spine
of books to repair them. They fit on the tape system and are measured exactly so
the tape fits the spine of the book.
