Hello everyone,

  re: librarian duties at school
I have a friend that is a librarian. She was assigned to work in the Front
office to what amounts to 8 1/2 hours each week. She has morning duty, afternoon
duty and covers the secretary's lunch once a week. She was also told that she
would be the back up dismissal person from now on. She figured it up and since she
only works in the library 4 days a week (She was hired as a full-time librarian) in
two months that puts her 1 week behind. She has been doing this for a while
because the principal told her to do it. I told her that I didn't think the
librarian should be working outside of the library that much. Is this typical of
what librarians are asked to do. What is your input?

  Thanks,

  Margo
