[LM_NET] TARGET: The Clique series - reading level

Does anyone know the reading level (not interest level) of The Clique series by 
Lisi Harrison?  I personally dislike the books ( I did force myself to read one) 
and have very few in the library - but our middle school girls love them.  If the 
reading level is low - we may be able to require the girls select other books for 
their independent reading requirements.  Normally I only look at interest level and 
content issues rather than reading level.  I leave that up to the teacher and 
individual reader.  However, I am curious about the reading level of this series.
