Hi Everyone,
I have just recently started meeting with a small book group of 8 students. They
are all kindergarten students reading on a first or second grade level. My
principal would like the focus of this group to be on reading comprehension and
reading fluency so I have been trying to come up with lessons that have them
reading instead of listening to me read. I have already done some readers theater
activities and I have used blow up comprehension cubes to ask post-reading
questions. I am looking for ideas for more comprehension related activities that
are different from the guided reading lessons they do in the classroom. Please send
ideas for some fun lessons I could do with this great group of kids. I will post a
hit.
