[LM_NET] TARGET: Middle School Book Club Suggestions

Good morning to all!

I'm an elmentary school librarian who would love some advice about middle school 
books. An article in a recent paper about "Kimmie's Book Club" (link below)has 
inspired my local Junior Woman's Club to start a book club for middle school girls. 
We plan on starting in the fall and we'd like the club to reach out to girls who 
enjoy reading and those who are reluctant readers.

I'm really excited about this project but somewhat intimidated about us coming up 
with a beginning book that will really get the girls excited about the book club. 
(Not to mention, we're hoping to select a title that will be available through 
Scholastic book orders for a reasonable price.) I would LOVE some book suggestions 
from my fellow librarians.
