The eagle cam on Santa Cruz island, off the coast of California, has
2 eggs in it. What is so significant about this is last year was the
first year in over 50 years that eagles had successfully nested and
raised an eagle. WIth the overuse of insecticides, the eggs were too
fragile for the eagles to hatch. The successful parents were some
that had come from the San Francisco zoo. The streaming video is
great to watch, though your district might restrict it because of
bandwidth. I watch this one at home. http://chil.vcoe.org/eagle_cam.htm
I have become addicted to eagle cams! I have several others if you
are interested.
