[LM_NET] Target: SEC Biblical Literature

I work in a Christian, K-8 school.  My 7th and 8th graders do a lot of
projects regarding tribes in the Old Testament.  Specifically, they do a
lot of work on the Canaanites, Moabites, Edomites, Midianites,
Philistines and Ammonites.  I'm not hopeful that there are books
specifically on these individual groups that middle-school students
would understand.  However, I would like to find a reference book that
could give them some basic information on these groups, but would be
readable.  We have many Bible reference books, but I don't think any of
them do justice to the topics.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

where literary incense must be burned or where one's devotion to the
bound book is expressed in ritual. A library, to modify the famous
metaphor of Socrates, should be the delivery room for the birth of ideas
- a place where history comes to life.
