Around the nation, teachers, including LMTs, are discussing NCLB. The
Congress is working on proposals to reauthorize the legislation, even as there
are calls for a variety of changes and even elimination (a return to ESEA).
These discussions are taking place among school boards, teacher unions, and
in the faculty rooms of schools.
I submit the following websites as examples of groups that have weighed
in on the subject.
I have been involved with Educator Roundtable since its beginning and
they have posted research to analyze the claims and counterclaims in the
discussion. I hope this will be useful in helping your folks locally to
understand
the issues involved.
