Our school in Louisiana got out on May 24 and we will go back around August 10th.
  All the teachers want to go longer into June and not go back until September.  If 
you have ever been to ever been to Louisiana in August, you don't want to do 
anything especially get classrooms ready and get children motivated.  
  I grew up in Upstate New York and we always got out sometime in June and went 
back sometime in September.
