YALSA is created an advocacy toolkit and we need your help! YALSA has hired Linda
Wallace and Peggy Barber, of Library Communication Strategies, to compile a toolkit
focused on youth services. We're inviting you to share your success stories and
tips for making youth services a priority, how you demonstrate their value,
overcome resistance and win the support of others in your public library, school
and community. Tell us how you've gotten the attention of your library and school
administrators, other community agencies and potential funders.
We are also looking for library directors who are big supporters and advocates for
services to teens. If you have a tip to share or would like to nominate a director,
please visit the Advocacy page of YALSA's Wiki at
http://wikis.ala.org/yalsa/index.php/Advocacy_Toolkit, and answer the questions
listed there.
You can also copy and paste the questions listed below and send your responses
directly to Linda and Peggy at librarycomm@librarycomm.com no later than July 1.
Many thanks!
