Scene: late Sunday afternoon in Costco. Large display of HP7, print
and audio versions, conveniently next to sample sofas and armchairs.
Several kids are happily ensconced in the sofas/chairs, iintently reading.
I watch, smiling, and then notice that adults approach the book
display in 2 distinct ways:
A) Grab a copy of the book, grin happily to self, put book in shopping cart, OR
B) Pick up a copy of book, look quizzically at first few pages, pub
book back on display.
Easy to guess which shoppers *know* about Harry Potter. (note: NO one
picked up a copy and looked at the last few pages.)
