[LM_NET] TARGET: "countries" series for elem/middle

I need to order a series of books on different countries, but there are so 
many out there to choose from and I'm overwhelmed!  I am looking for a 
series that would be appropriate for middle school (and upper elementary).  
We have a large percentage of students who are special ed., so a 5th/6th 
grade reading level is prefered, with content that middle schooler would 
like.  The books would need to be current, readable, and cover a wide range 
of countries (less euro-centric, more on asia and the middle east region).
