Hi,
I, too, have written Yahoo expressing my concerns over their "new and
improved" search engine. Our district, in the meanwhile, has decided to
use www.dibdabdoo.com as an alternative. It is essentially a Spider that
mines (interestingly) the old Yahooligans for web sites, so it is a back
door way of accessing what we used to have. While it's not a perfect
search tool, it's safe, reliable, and current; as a plus for teaching,
it automatically highlights keywords in the hit list.
