Please pardon this inquiry if it seems to be a repeat from a previous 
message.

I am looking for  easy/picture books set in Virginia and your state on the 
following topics:

( Reconstruction/ Post Civil War / 1900s to present)-----easy FICTION

segregation
Jim Crow Laws
Railroads/new industries/ and growth of cities after the Civil War
Shift from a rural, agriculatural society to an urban, industrialized 
society
Desegregation
Integration
Brown vs Brown

For school library media specialists in Virginia, the above topics are taken 
from Social Studies VS.8 and VS.9

I did check Fairfax County, Virginia's "Connections" but no titles to match 
my request.  I have checked other sites.  Lots of fiction ( FIC).

I just received my own copy of  VERGIE GOES TO SCHOOL WITH US BOYS.

Instead of plowing through sites and my own saved messages from listservs, I 
thought asking might be faster and quicker.
