I know I will get thousands here! I got a catalog in the mail (Positive
Promotions) and it has several styles of temporary tattoos that
celebrate reading. I thought my middle schoolers would find them just
cheesy enough to be fun. They are pricey so buying one for every
student in the building isn't possible but I could get 100 or so. I
would like to tie something in with National Library Week in April. Do
something and get a temp. tattoo. I can't really do "Return your
library book this week and get a tattoo" because they will check out
books just to return them (those crafty devils). Nor, can I do "Check
out a book and get one." Again same problem and I am the only person
running a large library so reshelving would take me months. I can't do
the "Get Caught Reading" tattoo either because the whole school has
built in reading time every day. Nor, do I want them reading in their
classes when they should be doing classwork. Any other ideas on ways to
reward kids with a fun, quick little reward in middle school.
Thanks!
