I'm in a K-6 grade campus. Many of my 6th graders are asking for
thrillers/suspense stories like Lois Duncan's I Know What You Did Last
Summer. They aren't interested in Goosebumps and the other "scarey"
stories I have in my library. Follett lists most of Duncan's books as YA,
so I am hesitant to include these books in my library, especially without
having read them all myself. So, I was hoping that this list might have
suggestions on whether to include Duncan's books. Are there other suspense
authors I haven't heard of that are more appropriate for elementary? What
are some of your students' favorite thrillers?
Thanks, and I'd be happy to post a hit.
