I love this thread. I can SO relate. However, I find myself straightening and 
reshelving misshelved books in the children's section of our public library! 
Sometimes I will find a nonfiction book in the E books etc and I just cannot keep 
myself from putting it where it belongs. One time I found a couple of E books that 
were mixed up and I pulled them out to reshelf them and I sort of just kept going. 
The next thing I knew I had a whole stack of books that needed to be reshelved in 
their proper places. I feel pretty certain that the public librarian would 
appreciate it if she knew she had an occasional "library elf" on the premises.
