I work in a 4th & 5th grade school, and I like Grolier. Nice selection
of encyclopedias, and they have a decent atlas. Some articles are hard
for the student in upper elementary but should be good for middle kids.
We just started using SIRS Discoverer for magazine and newspaper
articles.

Our Middle School librarian loves Net Trekker (and she turns off the
Wikipedia option on it). World Book Online is great and has a kids
option.
